Samsung employment through Global EPSS is permanent (regular) employment, not temporary or contract-based.

  

1. Upon graduation and successful onboarding, you will join Samsung as a regular, full-time employee.
2. After fulfilling your mandatory employment period, you are not dismissed or laid off; you will continue your employment and career at Samsung as a permanent employee.
3. This is in full compliance with Korean labor standards, offering long-term job security and growth opportunities within the company.

The admissions schedule is identical to KAIST's master's/doctoral recruitment schedule. The procedure is fundamentally the same as KAIST's, except that G-EPSS applicants must complete a Samsung Electronics employment application and attend the separate Samsung interview conducted by Samsung Electronics. Global EPSS is evaluated based on your selection under the Financial Resource section of the KAIST application. You can select multiple financial options, which determines your admission pathways:

1. Selecting BOTH "KAIST Collaborative Excellence Scholarship (Global EPSS)" AND "KAIST Scholarship" (Recommended)
1.1. If you pass both KAIST screening and the Samsung interview: You will be admitted as a Global EPSS scholarship student.
1.2. If you pass KAIST screening but do not pass the Samsung interview: You retain eligibility for KAIST admission and will be admitted under the KAIST Scholarship.
2. Selecting ONLY "KAIST Collaborative Excellence Scholarship (Global EPSS)"
2.1. This option is for applicants who wish to enter KAIST only as a Global EPSS recipient.
2.2. If you pass KAIST screening but do not pass the Samsung interview (or do not complete the Samsung application), your application will be withdrawn, and you will not be admitted to KAIST.

Global EPSS students are guaranteed employment at the participating company after graduation, and at the same time are obligated to work there for twice the period during which they received benefits.
